Erasmus Baumgartner (2009-2011)
Erasmus Baumgartner grew up in Meggenhofen in Upper Austria and had his first experience in choir singing in the boys choir in St. Florian, conducted by Franz Farnberger. At this time he was a soloist in the choir's performances in Verona and Barcelona, playing the second boy in Mozart's Magic Flute. He also sang in the Salzburg Festival under Herbert von Karajan and Seiji Ozawa. He graduated from the Anton Bruckner University with a masters in Instrumental and Voice Pedagogy. In 2005 he began his PhD in Mozarteum im Salzburg under Prof. Albert Hartinger. He has been a member of several ensembles, eg., Salzburg Comedian Harmonists, Quartart, and Ensemble Nova. From 2003 to 2010 he taught at the high school in Ried. Currently he is the voice coach of the Vienna Boys Choir.
